Chromatograph temperature controller NeoCHROM BZT-1

The БЗТ-1 replaces obsolete gas chromatograph temperature controllers. It controls heating of the detector, injector and oven and allows the analysis temperature programme to be set. It is used in instrument modernisation, including adaptation for capillary columns.

Technical specifications

• The block is implemented on semiconductor elements and controlled by a microcontroller
• The controller programs, monitors and controls three temperature channels (detector, injector and oven), with an accuracy of 0.1 °C and a setpoint increment of 1 °C, and controls the vent valve in the carrier gas line.
• Supply voltage 220V+10%. The switching voltage for each temperature channel is 220V
• Switched load power, detector channel: up to 500 W
• Switched load power, injector channel: up to 500 W
• Switched load power, oven channel: up to 4000 W

The unit structurally consists of two sub-units: a control unit and a power unit.

Design and operating principle

• The block consists of a software and hardware part. The program is located in the ROM located on the controller board
• The program functionally consists of the temperature channel control algorithm, the temperature measurement algorithm for each channel, the keyboard and indicator processing algorithm, the analysis formation and processing algorithm.
• The control unit is a rectangular plastic housing with an LCD indicator, four LEDs and four buttons on the front panel, on the back panel of the indicator there is a connector that connects the control unit and the power unit. The power unit is a plate on which the following are placed: a transformer, four high-voltage switching elements, a temperature sensor, and connectors. The power unit is installed inside the chromatograph.
• During modernization, it is possible to place both blocks in the analytical block of the chromatograph

Installation of the БЗТ-1 can be included in chromatograph modernisation.
